rabotnic is back to paragram with new interesting project raborb. victor lihonosov and alexander kuredenko are raborb, moscow based duo founded in 2015. rabotnic is one of those standout names amongst the current wave of young russian producers and orbet supertalented producer who have a lot of secret weapons. greek producer markos spanoudakis aka kreon has made really nice remix.
keita sano is part of japan s new wave of music producers. the okayama resident has been weaving his way through house, techno and electronica releases displaying an affinity to old school processes and vintage gear. with releases clocked up on mister saturday night, 1080p, lower parts, row, strictly groove recordings, enother blessing, holic trax and spring theory he has shown his eclectic tastes and zany approach to music. for sano making music is like keeping a diary, this year will see many more releases and his new live show.
baertaub’s newest release wolke welcomes you with bazalt, a very tight and sharply shaped minimal techno track designed to awake your senses one by one from head to toe with small noisey cuts and bits that show their faces at certain times to draw a sonic geometrical map. next up is a relatively darker track rather than rain which again features those alien bits and is enriched with an unexpected and grande synth melody that somehow fits perfectly with the dark mood and alienating sound of the track. b side opens with the ztrl remix of bazalt which focuses on that witty geometrical face of the track and lifts it to an upper level with slowly building beats and hypnotizing loops. the ep closes off with the title track, wolke, which follows a very interesting trajectory: a tense sounding chord line is softened by a groovy bass and dubby touches and percussive samples which in the end provides an unexpectedly feel good ending to a positively minimal ep.
following his debut ep “teoria”, dragosh returns on paragram with “em tum”, which comes with three original tracks, all featuring the artist’s typical sound signature. on the b side, radiq aka yoshihiro hanno offers a more floor oriented “em tum” reinterpretation.
for its seventh installment paragram welcomes two east european talents, rabotnic and crihan. bez tapok is a deep exploration into dark immersive soundscapes and multi-layered experimental sounds. each track is a representation of the artists personal take on finely crafted grooves and sound designed elements.
through the years, dragosh has established a solid following for his quality releases like his recent appearance on the fabric mix series compilation mixed by no less than arpiars rhadoo. teoria is a finely crafted ep of four tracks where intricate rhythms coalesces with synth pads and textures to create mystic atmospheres. the last touch is given by another talented romanian artist like priku, who reconstructed didiracrac giving it his typical sound signature.
once again its time for a new addiction to the paragram family. the second paragrams release of 2014 is in the care of phred, a new artist we are really glad to have on board.
paragram is now on to its fourth installment, and gladly welcomes a new member to its family, michael melchner. after several releases on respected labels such as love letters from oslo, moon harbour, cargo edition and eklo, the talented berlin producer now announces his 12inch debut on paragram. the ep, composed by three tracks, each one complementing the others, is a combination of futuristic beats, deep hypnotic basslines and slick glitchy percussions moving in and out of the arrangement.
marcmans dici ep released a few months ago had a massive response from djs and dancers as well. here, paragram revisits some of the greatest highlights of that record. the rework treatment is in the care of three amazing artists such as franco cinelli, dorian paic and jorge savoretti.
