Nobody Cared was recorded by Brendan Lynch in London, whilst Stallions Suite was recorded in NY by Lovefingers and Lee Douglas, The Stallions is Douglas and Lovefingers joint alias. Both tracks were recorded earlier this year.
The tracks are influenced by the likes of Ethiopian Vibraphone player Mulatu Astatke and Tropicalia musician Gal Costa as well as neu disco like Dimitri From Paris, the Black Cock record label and composer, musician and cosmologist Moondog.
“I wanted to fulfill some musical desires and get some stuff out of my system, I love a lot of exotica, world music and library music and disco and wanted to be able to create a mix up Ennio Morricone with some European disco and African Rhythms. Stuff I don’t get to do with my albums.”
Findlay Brown released his critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Separated By The Sea’, in 2007. His second is due for release in 2010.
