Release number 17 from the KAT stable comes via Madrid's finest, Casbah 73 with a diverse 3 tracker that will suit all.
First up is their reworking of Sivuca's ace cover of the Bill Withers classic Ain't No Sunshine, originally out in 1975 but here, stripped and rebuilt for 2013 dance floor duties. Brazilian off kilter 4/4 beats underpin a plethora of Bossa goodness resulting in a modern day Latin American House workout with a twist!
Next up is the Soul Funk biggie, Big Fat Bottom by Redd Hott. Originally out in 1981 and always a tad short in it's original guise weighing in at just over 4 minutes. Cut up, stretched out and re-arranged to 6 minutes delivering a heavyweight monster that packs a killer punch.
Last but no means least a great reworking of a jazz dancer that was big on the UK scene back in the late seventies/early eighties, Jungle Kitten by Manfredo Fest. Casbah 73 slow things down just a tad, toughen up the bottom end and add in trombones, saxes and trumpet lines resulting in a spats and handkerchief jazz dance frenzy..
