Sales Information:
The three original tracks featured here are some of the first tracks to be recorded from the coupling of Nicolas (Drums / Vibes) and Chris (Samples / Programming). ‘Motown’ features fellow Berlin-based originator Touchy Mob on vocals, telling a touching, foreboding and spaced-out tale of modern melancholy. The sparkling electronics of ‘Liebknecht’ and ‘Evi’ then follow, only scratching the surface of what these guys can do in a more energetic, nocturnal situation. On the B side we find an extended, freeform version of ‘Motown’, inspired by a long night at the Kraniche Klub, Hamburg, where label co-founder Ed Davenport was invited by the band to DJ. A 6 hour eclectic 4/4 jam ensued, complete with a mid-March snow storm gently raging outside, and thus the blueprint for this record was complete.
