After recently releasing his latest EP “Redline / Greenline” (available in “name your price” mode on his Bandcamp page) the Italian producer now settled in London, Sobborghi party series founder and member of Drift Kings and Club Cristallo URL collectives debuts on BMRec with “Arcane Mosaics”, a 6-tracks journey through Big Hands aesthetic vision moving through glitches, weightless landscapes, Uk rave reminiscences and post-grime sounds strictly connected to Bristol Sound.
“I always tried to organize my musical background while working year by year on resampling and creating a huge sounds archive. Starting from those two points, I think I pour out everything with this EP. I think there’s an emotive “fil rouge” in between “Arcane Mosaics” tracks, some vocal samples I used in it clearly say that.Talking about Music, I imagine the sounds used for this EP like an organic entity, everything is moving from a place to another, coming from a specific sound reality (like a break or a vintage synth) becoming something else, something different. Nothing is static, everything is transforming, changing, becoming differently. In “Arcane Mosaics” I tried to look to dance floor with an emotional point of view. A dance floor, in my opinion, not only connected with basements or clubs, but with my youngness, with abandoned places, with raves and “teknival”, with the “raw” side of the Dancefloor.”
On the B-side, “Arcane Mosaics” is completed by a remix made by Walton: the youngest producer ever appeared on Kode9’s Hyperdub Recordings (and Pinch’s Tectonic Recordings mainstay) converts “Untitled (Blood)” rave texture in a grime-verted bomb.You’ll give a spin of this one, believe us!
