iconic deep house label large music returns to the vinyl market with a limited repress of the classic kerri chandler release return 2 acid. first pressed in 2005, this was the 100th release on large and has been out of print for 10 years. the a side features kerri s powerhouse tribute to the glorious days of acid house laced with driving beats and an incessant 808 acid line. on the flip side kerri goes old-school, this time with an electro afrika bambaataa influenced jam entitled planet sonic. also included for this special reissue is the unreleased acapella of return 2 acid solidifying this as a true collectors item
lemaia presents its third release, first solo ep on the imprint and introducing the italian artist alex dima. a four-track ep that explores various genres of electronic music, mainly characterized by retro-deep synths.
old-skool acid house alert! these tracks were recorded by jordan fields in chicago during the late 80s. just recently re-discovered on reel to reel tapes and as soon as we heard these beauties, we knew the world needs to have these on vinyl! starting off with among the kloudz which is a very raw & mental analog groovin acid house track. on the flipside youll find keepin it together, a warm soulful but yet club friendly mr fingers, virgo four alike track. this ep is for all the true chicago heads, enjoy!
midnight love club the second strike! it is a pleasure to release the rhythm odyssey (dance music legend dean meredith) with more of his acidic analog rawness and fuzzy vintage synths. feel the warehouse vibe and check the deep techy remix of hotshot ethyl (secretsundaze, quintessentials). mlc loves you!
dean meredith is a veteran of dance music. he was not only one of the founders of chicken lips and thus a cosmic-disco godfather, but he was also one-half of bizarre inc., responsible for many rave anthems and more. as the rhyhtm odyssey in 2012, he is back on the hottest labels like rekids and golf channel. a real pro!
the debut lp from chicagodamn
gavin mcclarys music lies somewhere between the cavernous, pared down sonic delights of producers like levon vincent, and the simplistic yet irresistible classic house on labels like prescription underground. all executed and pieced together with beautifully produced analog textures, an undeniable ear for hooks & a dash of the gritty uk techno sound synonymous with his production alias.
available as a limited edition (500 copies) double vinyl package... housed in shrinkwrapped manilla sleeves, with cover sticker & unique download codes
wonder stories heads over the pond for their 24th release finding the aussie/uk collaboration between dawn again (returning from his excellent ep on ws019) and uk underground champion rothmans (known for his vinyl only label of the same name). psychedelic, melodic, and grooving are the name of the game here with timeless odyssey venturing into melancholic ethereal territory while rainbow perch is an uplifting and bubbly affair. on remixes, timothy j. fairplay submits a jacked up sleazy version of timeless odyssey while emile strunz tackles rainbow perch into a 4/4 techno stomper with a new wave ethos.
juan ramos lives on planet earth but channels voices from the aether. this is his first offering for the esp institute. on side a, last of the natives shows us just what we’re dealing with, a master manipulator of sound and consciousness. juan culls the toughest kick drums and thickest latex bass slaps from a deep burial in our psyche and peppers them with alien chants and fleeting electronic flutes—a combustible sense of spontaneity that may at first appear chaotic but after fully immersed in juan’s demented world, we find ourselves willfully under his control. on side b, enemy of enemy is friend also sets off from a disorienting place where a slow progression of acid, shakers and toms takes a good minute to allow us some footing around the groove. once settled into his sophisticated rhythm, juan opens the door to a glorious combination of chords, clanking guitars, shakers that scrub back and forth and the occasional smear of paranormal synth. we at the esp institute are enamored by juan’s seemingly infinite skill for crafting mood and extracting optimism from darkness, but seriously, what color speedotm should she wear this summer?
hitting a particularly fertile patch with his music, a sagittariun continues to ride the night skies with some heavy doses of cosmically sprinkled techno and kinetic electronica.
la-4a returns to delft for his first release on the label since last year s phonautograph lp. the a side comprises two beatdown acid house jams, with two versions of the raucous electro cut -snake eyes- on the flipside. heavy and uncompromising tracks that are not for the faint of heart. sick release!
these redux releases are like buses, we dont hear anything for ages then they hit us with three killer eps in a row. following the grand corporation and machete savane comes the return of phoreski. we have not heard much from phoreski for a little while, but you will soon hear why when you put the needle to the record on these two new tracks. he has been busily building up his studio into an enviable aladdins den of vintage kit, wires and analogue recording equipment. all synths and vocals you hear on these tracks come from phoreski, no samples, no guests, no edits. he has been hinting at this raw, analogue authentic sound for a while, but these tracks showcase a producer at one with the machines. >brown biscuits< comes across like some lost italo/cosmic gem, but via the north east of england rather than the lakes of italy. >machines< flexes tight proto-house rhythms with some bass that will make mince meat of lesser club soundsystems whilst the feuding synth lines fight for attention. this is proper body music, play loud!

super rare early lost trax ep by jesse velez from chicagos trax records. pressed on original red vinyl for first 500 units. re mastered from original 1985 tapes for 2014.
sydneys excellent death strobe label return with another surprise! there is just no pinning these boys down as they chalk up another fine addition to an increasingly vivid and varied catalogue.
after nearly a year has passed by - and kitted out with heavy hitting drum timbres, hook laden nuances and a textured palette of unique effects - south african born esa makes a welcome return to the burek family fold with another ep that skirts the boundaries of the dance-floor and soaks up the sights and sounds of those on the peripheral edges. a family thats consisted of many strays and deviants being welcomed in, esas ep is another mellifluous fit for the croatian based house label that prides itself on beats that drip with greasy flavour and a fine follow on from his killer ‘serenity in a forbidden place ep for the label in july of 2013.
**180 gr** (tuff city kids mixes) we start over new single by steve cobby, 1/2 of the legendary fila brazillia gets remixed by gerd janson & phillip lauer a.k.a tuff city kids.
currently two of the busiest men in contemporary deep house, alex agore and james johnston have still found the time to establish their joint no matter what recordings as a potent outlet. this sixth release sees johnston at the buttons for sole control after a couple of split releases and the consumer ep demonstrates a further refinement of his own distinct brand of house music. arriving on transparent vinyl, lead track give him prozac sets the tone with a thick four note synth lead that accrues all manner of dreamlike analogue qualities as it progresses backed by those crisp rolling rhythms johnston is known for. columbo likes the nightlife takes things on a notably deeper path, all dubby chords and intricate skipping percussive touches augmented by epic sweeping textures, whilst face down and they had cocktails maintains the same feel if upping the pace somewhat. johnston ends strongly with the sublime analogue build of the sleepwalker.
a one of a kind track with a totally unique groove and a bass line not coming from this world. the dx sound that makes the track so powerful sounds like some kind of mutant machine that is going wild and the sublime combination with the robert owens vocals makes this a highlight in the history of house music!
“mornin” is a radical discoid track built with alien hoover pads and synthetic stabs that is both fresh and euphoric. “clean sunrise” has deep feelings for south african shores and gentle rhodes harmonies. “mannam” is a triumphant little number whilst “capasa” is a 6 min long improvised recording locked down in one take.
we present you our second release, an ecletic 4 tracker with music by friends and music lovers antonio, luhk and pir. vinyl only. limited edition. no repress.
