irgendwo zwischen versunkenem videospiel-ost und ritueller beschwörung erinnert mershiy lp an den besten psychoakustischen ambient-dub, den die 90er jahre zu bieten hatten. sie ist weniger direkt als das vorgängeralbum und lässt raum für idm-introspektion und kontemplation. eine gedankenschmelze, die aber im breitbildformat und ziemlich akribisch daherkommt.

george heer präsentiert mit der homebase ep auf storytellers (story004) eine tiefgroovige reise durch warmen house-sound. mit subtilen rhythmen und fein abgestimmten texturen schafft er eine intime atmosphäre, die perfekt für späte stunden oder gemütliche dancefloor-momente ist. ein weiteres starkes statement auf dem noch jungen, aber vielversprechenden label.
