relax your body is a killer slice of narcotic, mid-tempo italian heaviness from way back in the late 80s. coming out on italys full time label, an italo disco imprint that embraced the burgeoning house scene in italy, and finding favor across europe and the uk with djs like andrew weatherall, its klf sampling groove and spoken, authoritative, mantra-like lyrics no doubt sound tracked some of the headiest moments in the corners of darkened, dry ice filled dance-floors throughout 1989 and beyond.

after the first ricardo tobar remix edition (featuring remixes by john tejada and fairmont) on cocoon recordings we are proud to present the next chapter with remixes by lawrence and midnight operator (mathew and nathan jonson). 2016 seems to continue as we started it: with high quality music by great artists presenting us amazing techno in an unique and tasty style. midnight operator, the joint project of the two jonson brothers, picked tobars angora for their remix and the result appears very fresh and housey. their bassline programming adds a nice italo-disco vibe to their version of angora.

cititrax is excited to present the third in a series of four song samplers showcasing the talents of some of the most innovative producers of the moment. cititrax: tracks volume three features the a powerful new collaboration between amato (aka the hacker) and mariana saldana (medio mutante, boan), the brutal industrial techno of barcelona based british producer the sixteen steps, a polish mastermind based in miami known as his dirty secrets, and the nyc underground duo further reductions (shawn o’sullivan and katie rose). the overall sound can be described as modern, uncompromising and guttural. each artist reinvents dance music by bringing their own unique vision to the floor. artwork designed by veronica vasicka and sourced from polaroids shot in nyc clubs in the 1980s, cititrax: tracks volume three is pressed on blood red clear vinyl – limited to 999 copies and housed in a matte printed sleeve.

electronic music approximately 35 years after bands like kraftwerk opened the magic box. a lot happened since then and it seems all is said, done and invented. however it is almost surprising that new things still pop up here and there when it comes to electronic music production.

roberto bosco has selected in recent months kinys music, to better prepare his first 12 inch, consisting of four tracks, named *damaged memory*. the track *unknown* (a1) leads off the dance of the release on last drop records imprint. it is a proper exploration in an unknown sonic territory to most of the people, and also a difficult element to make out for those who are novice to the visionary component in the musical poetic of kiny. the track starts with rounds of recurring sirens, almost deafening, framed by dark and ghostly noises. something not easily identifiable, ambiguous and unknown, as the title itself says, is perceptible in its sound. all this helps to shape a bad presage that fades away into the mystery.

based on the irvine welsh novel of the same name, the film version of ‘trainspotting’ directed by danny boyle became a cult sensation. focused on the heroin subculture of edinburgh in the 1980s, the film is occupied with surrealism, black comedy and features a great soundtrack. this album includes tracks from iggy pop, new order, blur, underworld and many more. to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iconic drama, the original soundtrack is being reissued on cd and vinyl. having been out of print for a long time, the 180g vinyl features replica original artwork that includes special silver spot finishes throughout - front, back, booklet and picture labels, as well as bright pantones.

isle of jura’s second longplayer reissue is an album from ingleton falls that touches upon ambient, dub, house and balearic styles and was originally released in 1991 as a limited run of 100 self distributed cassette tapes ingleton falls are andy hannam seymour and andy eardley from tyne and wear in newcastle. having come from a more traditional band background originally, ingleton falls was their electronic project and the result of a love of acts like dub syndicate, african headcharge, gary clail, the orb and the klf.
