estado de bienestar ist das mutige neue soloprojekt von nico cabañas, mitbegründer des plattenlabels oráculo records und des ombra festivals. das projekt, das aus einer phase der persönlichen transformation hervorgegangen ist, markiert eine abkehr von cabañas früheren unternehmungen - darunter synths versus me („so far“, 22 recordings) und almax und forte („nois d avui“, oráculo records). letztere hatten bereits begonnen, die klangliche richtung zu prägen, die cabañas nun voll und ganz einnimmt: ein roher, intuitiver und vollständig analoger „proto“-sound.
