a benchmark project that has been in fruition over the past year, one against time is the magnum opus of john dimas career. it is a pivotal milestone that embodies his depth of knowledge and his personal fascination with the mysteries of life and the universe. spread across 14 tracks, one against time sees dimas really broaden his artistic capabilities, drawing from a melting pot of influences and woven together by his desire to channel a feeling of intrigue and curiosity taking a journey outward into the deepest recesses of outer space while simultaneously traveling inward to that same area of deep space inside his own soul...

!! ltd repress !! metereze follows its karmic path of delivering stomping dance floor oriented cuts, this time with the help of john dimas, expressed into the telexistence ep. working both as access keys as well as soul transporters, the 4 tracks are a peek into an alternate reality, where room filling baselines go as mood uplifters along with the textured chords that submerge the crowd into the deep waters of dreamy house music.

our fourth and also last release for 2016 is coming from john dimas. john is hailing from greece but is living in berlin at present. we have been following his productions for quite a while now and we are happy that we finally got him on board for our label. this ep contains three different tracks showing perfectly the versatility of johns productions and also at the same his skills of always adding that special dimas touch to his tracks.

elephant moon continues its steady schedule of releases with a brand new ep from label owner john dimas and danish talent samuel andre madsen (aka s.a.m). on this fresh new release we re treated to two tracks from monsieur dimas and two from s.a.m. to open we have a quirky little space jam called moon patrol by john dimas. it has chunky percussion at its foundation with off-key chimes and cosmic pads giving it an interstellar feel. samuel s reshaped for moonwalk mix puts john s mix on a diet, making it far lighter and focusing on the ethereal elements turning it into a sweet galactic ditty. on the flip we get a sombre bossa nova ride from s.a.m., all jazzy with a grooving bassline and galloping beats. its a cool, laid back riddim from the dane and were sure youll love it. john dimas gives the track his own monday mix, bringing the tempo down even more and crafting a delicate heady rework.

introducing a brand new label from berlin-based greek, john dimas. elephant moon is a platform conceived by john to simply collect and release music from his talented group of friends. having built up a strong reputation thanks to his excellent back catalogue of productions on labels such as one records and la vie en rose, he decided that now is the time to dedicate his deep knowledge of house and techno to running a label of his own.

out of sight , the title track, is an elegant house exercise that takes you back to san francisco. recall is a brain bomb, hypnotic and psychedelic but with lots of energy, and has already been supported by the likes of raresh, rhadoo, djebali and apollonia, and is definately the cut to go in this record. to finish things off, romania s rising star mp, known for his works on soulsity and meterze, shows us his own view on out of sight , based on dynamic drums and a with an amazing bass leading the whole thing.

john dimas further adds to his rapidly growing reputation as he joins transatlantic label smoke city music (the sister label to hudd traxx) with the -addicted 2u ep-. three original tracks cover elements of classic detroit techno, chicago house and filtered french house, expertly combined with a modern approach. a deep, driving, techy and tribal-tinged remix of -relax- is provided by the hotly in-demand adam shelton (one records, 2020 vision). thessaloniki native john dimas is a well-known performer in greece and has steadily been building a reputation for himself on the world-s dance music scene in recent years. his music, which spans techno, acid and house, taking in influences from paris to detroit, has appeared on labels at the cutting edge of electronic music such as gigolo and time has changed. he has applied his remix touch to artists including fischerspooner, mirco violi and andi numan, and first appeared on smoke city in 2010 as a remixer of kev o-brien-s -floozies in jacuzzis-. future releases will see him appear on the claap, dieb audio, res lab and le borgne imprints

the next release on claap is a joint venture between two label favourites. on side a, nikola galas >oasy< and >paradise (tool)< are two very tightly structured affairs! perfectly produced and oh so functional, they are another strong proof of the reasons for which nikola has been making waves in the scene for more than a decade. the overall feel in both tracks follows the same path along nikolas previous work on rekids and ibadan records, amongst others, along with releases on his own label escada music. we are also very glad to welcome a long time favourite john dimas. hailing from the beautiful city of thessaloniki in greece, john is a young and aspiring dj and producer who has been working with labels such as d julzs exciting bass culture. john has been steadily making a strong impression with his colourful, solid and passionate dj performances! >get it< is a very groovy, playful and smart track. reminiscent of older chicago house with a fresh touch. to round up the package, label head gummihz offers a disco orientated >get down mix...

its been a heady few months for d julzs bass culture imprint. the response and support from the dj world has been overwhelming, and this is of course down to the wonderful a&r skills of the label chief. now, with bass cultures 8th release, we are pleased to bring you the slit e.p. - greek producer, john dimas is well known for his live performances, as well as his djing skills in his town of thessaloniki & throughout europe. his sound spans the styles of techno, acid & more specifically – house music, which he performs in the club, across 3 turntables. stil quite new to the world of production, john dimas has his sights set high, having remixed the likes of fischerspooner – and now, he comes with his very first release on bass culture, adding his grecian flavour. the >slit e.p.< is a package that spans tech house, house & deep house… the original title track is dark, but rich & rides the groove nicely. the chez damier >late night mix< is exactly that – supple and full of just the right touch of deep quirkiness for late night sessions.

raum musik 104 is a various artists compilation that features exclusive tracks from all the labels key artists. federico molinari, john dimas, franco cinelli, lee burton and phil evans have released on our label before, but we also have three new artists on board this time. jorge savoretti has released the last single on our label before the compilation plus the two newcomers enrico mantini from italy and andy kolwes from cologne. altogether it forms a nice package to celebrate 20 years of raum musik that shows as well the different sides of our label and we hope that you enjoy the tracks as much as we do.

one records continue their quest for the most up-to-the-minute house and tech-house tones, this time calling on bobby o donnell to step up to the plate with his groovesome wares. -e211- is a huge track, using swooping pads and a classic diva vocal lick to devastating effect - it s hard to imagine anyone resisting the emotional draw of this melancholic jam. -e131- meanwhile is a more cheeky affair, ramping up the funky drum programming and using a more minimal palette of sounds for decoration. john dimas then steps up to remix -e211- and turns it into a hard-bopping workout powered by a mean-tempered snare.
