killekill house trax is going strong – this time with a 4-tracker by the incredible andreas gehm. he sent us the music shortly before his death and said we could pick any of his artist names and his only condition was that the music was released on vinyl. only after his death we realized that he had obviously already taken a decision then… so we are releasing this record now as an homage to one of the most creative and funniest persons in the electronic universe of the last decade. the ep includes all his typical styles and ranges from hard jacking acid house over weirdo electro house to old school chicago- leaning piano house. a timeless record for all situations. may you rest in peace, andreas, and thanks for still rocking our floors, even when you are long gone!

solaronemusic is proud to announce this special record. andreas left us suddenly at june 20th in 2016 after long health problems. around that time we finished with him -the worst of gehm- release. he was so happy about this project!!! even one week later we got the terrible message that he died. we put alot of love and effort in this project to give him his last big monument! special thanks to all his friends and labels like mathematics recordings, abstract acid, creme organization, psycho thrill and of course bunker. rip in andreas! we will never forget you!

andreas gehm is known for his fierce, unapologetic acid style. but the cologne man does have a more mellow side, a smoother side, and that s what this three tracker is. of course, smooth gehm still has some rough edges. -yellow flowers- combines thick pads, skittering beats, warming samples and frigid bars in an intoxicating brew. malice and menace rear their ashen faces for the evil machinations of -late at night-, muffled vocals and sharpened snares glinting in the streetlights. safety arrives in the form of the aptly titled -less violence.- rhythms are still rough edged, melodies still have an underhanded element. yet there is a subdued humanity in the sweetened strings, emotion coming to a head as the needle runs out.

msq 001 mysteriously divided into bright and dark sides of the universe. on the a-side (the bright one) you will find intergalactic jack groove represented by contra communem opionem aka cco (zurich) and made acid trip together with the cosmic rider andreas gehm (coln). the dark b-side accepts the challenge from imperfect planet s chastener umwelt (lyon) and a major black hole instigator moralez (st. petersburg). mastering is done on the international space station under the guidance of alden tyrell (amsterdam). annals of the universe available only in the form of a physical plastic 12 carrier in a limited edition of 300 copies.
