we at finale sessions are glad to have grey people aka alex michalski raining from chicago he is one of the new up and coming producers from the windy city that has flavor that finale sessions really likes and we present you with his first track called feeling strange with its weird but funky bassline and its dark synths gives it a peak time feel with its spooky chords that sets this track apart from the rest, then we have the track called - defeated which really has this depeche mode feel with its wicked bassline and its solid claps but we also dig the pads and synths also. then last but not least is the track forget the peak is my favorite track of the ep its solid chords and pads give this track a melodic feel and very dancefloor friendly vibe. we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your on going support of finale sessions

introducing the new vinyl only label, public system recordings, co run by matthieu foltyn and eric strykert. the first release is a split series ep from dj spider and grey people. starting off the ep, dj spider s mind field offers a percussive drum riff, warm synths, and a slight off beat rhythmic intensity that moulds together perfectly. next on spider s side is demon seed an intense journey utilizing deep stabbing kicks, delayed snares, whistling synths, and finishes with a soft subtle chant. flipping the record, grey people enters into the well familiar analogue techno spectrum. deep friday builds up with short stabbing cords, flickering snares and a spooky vocal. too much relevance is a rough acid chicago throw back. don t let this one slip!!

after a string of stellar releases with proper trax, cult trip, and mystical disco, grey people graces cgi with his latest. raised in chicago and currently residing in nashville, alex michalski treats us to another side of his sound as he completely forgoes sampling to give us four tracks of raw, stripped-down machine funk. the tunes presented here are culled from various hot and humid sessions in his home studio, armed with an arsenal of equipment old and new and cultivating a sound as diverse as it is nasty. witness the pluralist industrial jackin’ utopia that is grey people—from the crunchy, dissonant piano stomp of *trench foot*, and the equally crunchy, driving, new wave dirge of *moonstruck*, to the cosmic drift and thump of *lock the box* and the funked up fm slap-bass of *wild intentions*.

kicking off this new aussie label after releases on konstructure, proper trax, mystical disco. (a) combines warm synth lines w/90s inspired drum sequencing, & the flip, provides us with a hard hitting techno trip.

banlieue return with their second release. this various artists ep is an eclectic mixture, drawing on different strands of the electronic spectrum. booming, funky and dark, these four tracks are sure to spark a fire.

havamal inspired briton will flisk takes his filmic approach to music to the streets with his first output on our curious little imprint. with the help of good friend black merlin (george thompson) on synths and drum machines and natasya hodges on cello, this amazingly orchestrated title track (red planet) takes us to different planets and back, even though our money is too short for commercial space travel. nashville, tennessees very own grey people (alex j michalski) works his distortion on a sinister remix (b1) thats leaning towards the more techno side of things. for the b2, will bestowed an amazing bit of roughness upon us.
