after the powerful excursion of last year s calcata, neel returns to token with transition. conceptually based around four elements in the group known as the transition metals and recorded live in one take, each track is a mind-bending trip through the periodic table that retains the human touch of a live performance.

tikita welcomes neel for a first release in collaboration with label mainstays natural/electronic.system. the four tracks here cover deep, rolling, dubby tribal techno. the opener is sparse and dark, gracida is more urgent and alien with watery droplets and wet melodies, then sinistra is mind melting and loopy techno that takes you into the cosmos. last of all, percussiva has supple jeff mills style synths warping round each other as heavy drums pound below. it is brilliantly consuming techno from some of the best in the game.

for anyone with their pulse on cutting edge music, neel is synonymous with quality. he s one half of the critically acclaimed duo, voices from the lake (with donato dozzy), and here he teams up with his studio partner, filippo scorcucchi. the pair present a project called lf58 (named after neel s mastering/recording studio in rome) for our latest instalment in the late night innominate series. three untitled ambient tracks all created with modular synthesizers, full of emotion and technical brilliance. also worth noting, side a is over 16 minutes of pure bliss!

the tenth release on the spazio disponibile label comes from co-founder neel and marks his first solo ep ever. the italian dj, producer and mastering engineer is known for his supple and subtle techno both solo or as one half of voices from the lake with donato dozzy. previous solo outings appeared on labels like prologue and spectrum spools, and now he shows off his sound design skills once more across three compelling and intense techno cuts on his own label.
