aus music follow up a string of exclusive releases from primitive trust with tee mango (one half of pt) having released on clone in 2017 tee mango comes back to aus for his second ep in as many years. ep#2 carries forth much of the the same classiness hes well know for. a side ‘come a little closer samples a personal favourite make it last forever by inner life which is paired with playful drum rhythms and smooth rhodes chords. prototypical opts for punchy drums and a swinging bass, a track that would work as well peak time as it would warming up. wazoo rounds off the perectly balanced ep a deep cruiser with a pinch of acid.

4 prime house tracks on clone royal oak by mr millionhands black aka tee mango. a very versatile ep that continues the tradition of the royal oak series. continually breeding new offsprings of the classic well-known 80 s and 90 s styles, all with a strong sound signature of the artist. tee mango leaves the traditional path of 90 s house music and delivers 4 intense tracks all looking for that perfect groove that you just dont want to stop. looping vocals, woozy chords, irresistable laidback basslines, jazzy keys... after hour vibes, peak time heat... this ep got it all. big up mr mango... this is some proper house music!

we ve had our eyes and ears on tee mango for a while now. his debut album imperfections is a future classic in our book and the tribute series has been part of our dj-sets for a while now. in short we had to get him to do an ep for local talk. dadhaus ep is forward-thinking music with an edge (undoubtedly sharpened through countless studio hours). tee channels the deep house flavours of detroit and chicago across four tracks of exquisitely executed percussion and sample-not-sample work. its another winner from the man like tee mango.

after his banging ep 1 on aus, tee mangos back for the 5th installment in his tribute project, inspired by the much referenced theo parrish quote: love of the music should be the driving force of any producer, performer or dj. everything else stems from that core, that love. with that love, sampling can become a tribute, an expansion on ideas long forgotten, reconstruction, collage. time is now time is now comes off like adamski era seal rerub for the small hours. replete with hypnotic looped piano and drums sounding like they were lifted from vaughan mason s raze house archive. simply sweet sweet electronic music. make it last forever the b side is tee mango on home turf, with a selection of choice samples under his cap (from a record you might recognise), some simple loose sampled drums and a smattering of dub delay. love for this series coming from: axel boman, benji b, artwork, fred p, and a heap of others. these tribute releases sell out pretty quick, my hunch is that these will not hang about.

aus music follow up a string of releases from shenoda, recloose and marquis hawkes with a disco-tinged 12inch courtesy of a fresh signee and millionhands head honcho tee mango. having so far almost exclusively released on millionhands alone, tee mango makes a rare appearance outside of his home turf and in doing so follows on from his acclaimed ‘imperfections vol.1’ lp which garnered widespread following from the likes of axel boman, palms trax, gilles peterson and bonobo. his ep#1 for aus carries forth the sense of raw, sample heavy soul that was the real spark of imperfections vol.1, while maintaining a feel for the needs of the dancefloor. loose, natural drums, deftly chopped samples and hazy synth lines keepit moody. this collection of 4 tracks could be the perfect soundtrack for those early days of sunshine. as mango himself says. off all the places left to dance, this is where ill stay.

throw is the 1st track here, which manages to loop a refrain and bass that candy staton anthem, all the while sounding like a forgotten moodymann mpc jam. vocals, skipping snares, a bouncing tambourine & one of the finest bassline ever written (by someone else) compell you to dance. need your love is a heads down sample house jam. it’s looping vocal, super tight drums, woozy chord stabs and sirens make it feel like the result of a studio session between a 90’s dubbed out louie vega & man-like switch (before he went feral).

the invisible are releasing a special remix ep featuring reworked tracks from their critically acclaimed album ‘patience’. released via ninja tune, ‘patience’ saw the mercury prize nominees demonstrate their more uplifting side, giving the listener a sense of the band’s “joy and gratitude” for being alive, with features from anna calvi, sam shepherd (floating points), connan mockasin and rosie lowe.
