conceived under the leaky roof of casa di ruffino, the first anf on naff is a 3 track extended player from dust-e-1 and priori. crunched out sci-chedelic jams, ready for the new age.

our fourth 12- vinyl release, again a full 4 track artist ep, comes from young dutchman cleanfield. relatively unknown at the start of this year, we listened to his demo s and signed them on the spot for a vinyl release. they are really that good, and fall into the same category as the output of fouk, nachtbraker, and more..... while waiting on the production of this release he s made quite the entry as newcomer on the deephouse, nu-disco scene with a first digital release on delve deeper, that s still doing really well in the charts. we re really excited to release these super funky, groovy tracks on beautiful black wax.

in a spontaneous way, sanfuentes records releases have been offering different overviews about latin américa: the street-tour that mijo took us into the incomparable ciudad de méxico, the peep into santiago’s idiosyncratic and sexy nightlife by román & castro or the nostalgia and psychedelia from patagonia’s isolation that rous portrayed in his “silencio carmesí” release. “visiones”, sanfuentes’ new ep, comes from a similar place. it reflects on the continuously ongoing cultural cross-pollination happening in latin américa, a phenomena that brings unity and topples political, social and spiritual borders.

with the super wings in mutiny and a trail for the manslaughter of his former bandmate, spuds nathan, still hanging over his head, manford best came out swinging with come go with me. it’s a chirpy, calypso-influenced insight into the state of his mind and his first solo album.

the 10th modal analysis release is the second full ep of the label’s co-founder, anfs. mass ep demonstrates anfs unique sound aesthetics, offering tracks to satisfy the most demanding music-heads. mass#1 is a sadistic composition of distorted percussions and basslines hitting hard in a slow rhythmic groove , while mass#2 stands closer to the dancefloor thinking norms, without though leaving behind any of the creepiness of mass#1. on the flip side, mass#3 brings back the mood of a horror movie soundtrack, with bleepy riffs on the leading sequence. finally, mass#4 is another rhythmic industrial composition, which connects mass ep with the traditional eastern influences that can be found on anfs debut release, ground ep

*one hand in the air* bezieht sich beispielsweise auf *so appalled* von kanye west - manfred mann hat dessen original nun neu arrangiert. mit the prodigy und disco boys verfährt manfred mann genauso. zudem liest sich die gästeliste beeindruckend: till brönner spielt auf jedem zweiten stück trompete, kris kristofferson leiht einem stück seine stimme und kanye west ist natürlich auch zu vernehmen. zudem wagt sich manfred mann an neuinterpretationen von klassikern wie *light my fire* oder *we will rock you* - absichtlich stücke, die weltweit hinlänglich bekannt sind. manfred mann erklärt: *gerade weil jeder die stücke in- und auswendig kennt, habe ich in meinen interpretationen die optimale freiheit. wenn ich passagen weglasse oder neu arrangiere, denkt der hörer diese ja trotzdem mit*. neuinterpretationen - von bob dylan bis bruce springsteen - haben manfred manns gesamte karriere geprägt, *lone arranger* führt diese tradition somit fort. und keine frage: das album bleibt bei aller konzeption typisch manfred mann, nicht zuletzt weil die spielfreude am keyboard vernehmbar ist.

hanfry martinez & javier carballo present overall music limited series (vinyl only). for the first release ovllmltd001,label owners get together with their good friend hector to bring us the daggers track.a trip threw the lower,dark hipnotic house,taking us back to the golden days of this sound during the first years of the decade of 2000,reminding us of the works of legends like peace division or terry francis.this release is completed with 2 remixes,the first of rumanian duet livio & robi aproaching a detroit sound in focus,where the chords and a strong bassline are the remix s leading rol,techno for the tough minds.guti is the chosen for the second version of the daggers,a mix of techno & house deepnes where guti plays with the original sounds, adding percusive elements,pads and distorted voices,giving the track some tension and mysticism.

the seventh modal analysis release comes from athenian producer and dj, anfs. following his remix for kondaktors signal 1, anfs returns to the label with his debut release, ground, a four track ep which consists of original material. borrowing sounds from early twentieth century folk greek culture, the ep is dominated by a rhythmic canibalistic spirit and a noisy distorted cue. ground 1 functions as an introduction, or rather ones initiation to the mystic rituals that prevail. the artist uses drones and distorted textures which increase in ground 2 and are backed up by drums that beat in a hard-and-slow ethnic tonality. ground 3 reveals a paroxysm of emotions which comes as a result from the combination of basslines and vocals that create a complex and twisted vortex. the trip ends with ground 4, a more stripped down monotonic ensemble that serves as an epilogue and a catharsis.

beanfield ist einer der ganz großen namen in der compost-geschichte. nun endlich feiert jan krause mit seinem projekt beanfield ein lange erwartetes comeback. seit 2008 hat krause zwar nichts mehr selbst veroeffentlicht, sein terminplan war wegen des ausgebuchten studios dennoch bis oben voll. nun kehrt beanfield mit einer neuen single zurueck. alone ist in zusammenarbeit mit der muenchner saengerin marzenka enstanden. und glänzt mit souligem gesang, toughen beats und brodelnden sythies.

brad peterson, the talented producer from edimburgh, uk, creates a groove-laden atmosphere in its beats and a wholly mental climate with deep pads and chords, with fabulous energetic tension. in the other side banfield audio plays with hypnotic analogues basslines and deep sounds of pads, without stopping moving into the depths with its earth heart.
