played at dc10, watergate, panoramabar!vid is a new project by romanian young talent sorin rastoaca who mainly has released techno and house as egal 3 in the last few years. here he teams up with his friend, the circoloco monday night resident andrew grant for some refreshing beats.

keep it raw. keep it underground. play quality music and play it on vinyl. this is the fonos way of thinking. influences range from funk to techno, from theo parrish to larry levan. we are proud to hand you our second release from these two guys consisting of three tracks, that do a very good job of presenting a wide range of the full frequency that is their music, from the deep slow wonky vibe of the title track, to the clubby oldschool acidtinged stabs of sad pitch. their last track on we are (la senna) has been played at pretty much every major club by the likes of danny tenaglia, joris voorn, raresh, luciano, timo maas, deetron, matt star and just about everyone else.

our favorite guys from athens return to we are after some time, and with some super tight beats as well! fact of the matter is, that we for this one occasion chose to go with a full 12 inch instead of our standard club tracks 12 inch format simply because we needed all these three tracks to fit – good job! already passed the floor-test at many clubs and people are really feeling this superglued tightly produced rhythms mixed with old school disco house, they are held back and sneaky, and at the same time accesible and open to groove – just the way we like it!

mikael stavöstrand (lick my deck, clink, highgrade) spent a few days in berlin recently, so why not get him over to the we are hq and work on some tracks with agaric, right? the boys first track is a deeper bass driven techno track interchanging grooves and eerie strings and percussion arrangements whereas the flipside on this limited 10 inch goes more funky and presents a surprising vocal bit where vealchop out of los angeles asks himself why certain things went the way they did! already tried and tested to excited crowds in clubs like 1001 london, rex paris and tresor berlin...

these two tracks have proved to work wonders on dancefloors across the planet, support from all the usual players and a massive follow up to the previous two >club tracks< releases in the series, which have received plays and praise by djs from all various styles such as laurent garnier, d julz, heartthrob, luke slater and dj hell to name a few. a-side track >nobody home< grows into a huge build using an oldschool moog-bassline, whilst the b-side chops up and pitches around an edited voicerecording over straight forward beat, resulting in a very unusual, groovy and hypnotic jam for the late hours.

the follow up to agarics succesful first volume that came out in june is equally big, containing two tracks that get plays and dj support by drumcodesjoel mull, kreon, mossa, derek plaslaiko, alexi delano, tim green, ed davenport, to name a few.pär grindvik (spectral) says: >for me those songs are more than just great tools! a lovely ep with both personality and great deep! thanks!<
