For the new installments in the Luna Flicks series we have a very special treat from Norway`s most living legend, the true Big Lebowski of the dj world, the Norwegian sultan, the one and only Rune Lindbæk. His most recent output includes the Meanderthals album, made together with the Idjut Boys, as well as numerous edits and dj gigs around the stranger parts of the world. You might recall him from the infamous Those Norwegians album ( that spawned the birth of Röyksopp), legendary stories of slack of the highest degree and a very open mind towards music of the most outrageous and esoteric sources. Rune has it all, except the calculated mind of a trendy wizzguy going for the latest buzz and it shines so greatly through this ep. Straight from the sleazy lower west side of Oslo, he has teamed up with the mysterious Kanakas outfit to bring us these little gems of rubbered down diamonds from the gutter. Tales from the gritty east, wrapped up in the soul of the breezed. The "Odessa" ep is inspired by Rune`s dj travels to the east and the south of Europe. We believe it`s the perfect antidote to reality tv, soap commercials, funky house, and generic minimal from suntanned blokes with plugins. All you need is love, a bit of chill, some brown rum and a nachspiel recording of some drunk guys going "oooooo--dddee-ssaaa" while coming up with some campfirean bagoos on the side for good measure.. The left has always been the right, and that`s the truth, Goddamit!!
