The name Spencer Parker is synonymous with quality house music. Whether it be his acclaimed remixes or his original productions on labels such as Ovum, Rekids and Crosstown Rebels, Spencer's music is consistently interesting and consistently creative. Here he delivers his debut album, 'A Gun For Hire' on Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records. Saved Records past successes with the album format include the recent 'Roots' delivered by Steve Mac, and the acclaimed 'Acid House' by Mark Broom, combine this with a back catalogue of sterling releases and it is no surprise that the fusion of Saved Records and Spencer Parker has resulted in a breathtaking full length album that explores the depths and breadths of house music.

Over the past six years, Parker has worked with labels like Ovum, Tsuba and Crosstown rebels, but his debut LP will see release on Nic Fanciuli's Saved Records. A Gun For Hire features 11 new productions from the English producer, including a collaboration with Dan Beaumont. Parker spent a year in the studio working on the album just after his move across the channel to Berlin, whilst also maintaining his relationship with Rekids, namely through the label's residency at Panorama Bar. The result is a conflation of different strands of house music, with hints of London and Berlin as well as Chicago, Detroit and New York.

From the deep and dark sounds of 'Bring It' to the shimmering disco of 'The Look', 'A Gun For Hire' is a true artist album, an album that transcends fashion and trends, and focuses completely on the music.
