Biscuit Factory Records presents The LAXX EP, the debut release from Oxford based producer Jamie Churchill, aka LAXX. The EP features three tracks that highlight why LAXX is unquestionably going to be an artist to look out for in the future. This is another taste of LAXX’s ability to produce classic dubstep sounding tracks, twisted with his unique and futuristic sounds. Favourite of DJ N Type (Wheel and Deal/ Rinse FM), Walsh (Biscuit Factory) and getting played by the likes of Benga (Radio 1), The Others and Subscape (Dub Police), Biscuit Factory Records proudly introduce LAXX.
The EP leads with Warning. A Cinematic intro, layered with subtle hats and trademark sirens descend unsuspectingly into a drop that is guaranteed to send dance floors into mayhem Devastating subs and punchy drums, this is true, chest crushing Dubstep. Self Destruct is a clever combination of melodic and soulful sounds, poles apart from the A-side. An emotive and atmospheric keyboard pattern provides the riff, while dark, moody, sub stabs combine with catchy percussion to produce a full on roller of a track. Aggressive, industrial synths sit perfectly over distinct and heavy hitting drums in the track Transmission.[info from st]
