GROW005 deformation professionelle by Benjamin Fehr is a dark and tearing offering of contrasting energies: ripe in internal questioning, relating passions, and an attitude with a strong determined momentum. 3 original works and a remix by Isherwood.
The vinyl begins, with the work 'deformation professionelle', and one is immediately thrust through a whirlwind of brain activity, primal desires seem to be at question; instincts against conscience, until the strong natural momentum, in musical consideration: bass, drives through the internal questioning, and thus in doing so is in itself illuminating.
The second work is Ishwerwood's, a remix in contrast to the internal conflicts of 'deformation professionelle', here no conscious issues exist, a fun and jubilant energy, with the only voice sounding out the word 'Fine', appears as a balance to the original, again the natural momentum proves strong.
Turning over the record, one will find 'sekundenschlaf', a song of enlivening percussive performance. Attitude abrimming, the drummer continues in confidence, sparring with the adjacent warm effeminate tones, a tense relationship of passions, climaxing and yet left lovingly unresolved.
The final track of the album 'your electronic arms' a track full of eccentricities and rattling percussion. Great horns ring out, as the path descends through a rich dialogue of expression.
