Having been rivals on the football pitch as teenagers, a chance encounter many years later - djing at an International windsurfing festival - cumulated in a back to back set that kicked off the Italia90 collaboration. Putting the footballing differences aside, Italia90 grew out of a shared love of quality house music that was influenced greatly by Glasgow s close relationship with Chicago and institutions such as the Sub Club that brought these house heroes close to home.
