Clergy sub-label Projekts sees a return to action for its second release of 2018 with a VA from four underground talents.
Label boss Cleric kicks off the release with 'Tool 101', a track true to his unrelenting style which does exactly what it says on the tin. This is the definition of tool / drum track, with driving kicks and dynamic hi hats that you can't help but dance to. The A2 is headed up by non other than Dutch powerhouse and Monnom Black regular Stranger with 'Silent Frustration'. This hardware infused track combines distorted drum patterns with a bouncy-yet-unnerving synth hook which keep the groove of the track rolling at all times to great effect.
The B side is introduced by new kid on the block Remco Beekwilder, with a rave ready heater '90's Mayhem' that refuses to stay fixed in one musical niche, switching up the atmosphere of the track with guaranteed great dance floor results. The VA is rounded off by London techno legend and Eartoground head honcho Gareth Wild. 'The Savagery' lives up to its name with cleverly distorted kicks and rides accompanied by a brutal yet subtle acid stab that comes and goes, keeping the dancefloor constantly on edge.
