As the timing appears to be right while summer just made it’s entrance it seemed only appropriate for the release of another single. The idea behind the release was conceived when digging for records through Paris while touring a couple of years ago during a conversation with a vinyl monger discussing 70’s pop-funk Pakistani composers. Since the inspiration as well as the records sampled for both of the tracks were picked up from the “city of lights” it seemed only appropriate for mononome to finally collaborate with Parisian label and long-time friends StillMuzik for a release. “Loralai” evolves around a feel-good uptempo groove emphasizing on the sample while “Besima” is based mainly on mononome’s characteristic drum sounds, leaving an essence of psychedelia in the background. Available in 7” vinyl limited to 300 copies via StillMuzik.
