Incl Buckwind Remix
Coalmine Records is excited to announce a special release of their acclaimed Pharoahe Monch single, “Get Down,” remixed by none other than BX legend, Buckwild.
Everything about the track is an absolute feast for hip-hop heads. Longtime fans of Monch will no doubt remember his previous work with Buck, who produced several cuts on Organized Konfusion’s classic albums, Stress: The Extinction Agenda and The Equinox. And with his work on the remix, Buck reconnects with Monch with the same appeal that epitomized their timeless chemistry.
The record will be pressed on translucent purple vinyl with cover art designed by Dewey Saunders (Anderson .Paak, Future), who creates an ethereal collage that borrows elements from James Brown, vintage NYC, and of course Monch and Buck.
The Buckwiild Remix of "Get Down" from Pharoahe Monch is the latest 7-inch vinyl release from Brooklyn indie label, Coalmine Records.
-The original version, produced by M-Phazes, was first released in 2014 as an official Record Store Day title where one thousand units of the vinyl 45 quickly sold out.
-This single comes on the heels of, ‘A Magnificent Day for an Exorcism,’ the debut album by Pharoahe Monch’s newly formed group, th1rt3en.
-Buckwild is a coveted member of D.I.T.C. along with Lord Finesse, Showbiz and A.G., Diamond D, Fat Joe, O.C. and the late Big L. Once described by HipHopDX as “"one of Hip Hop's most prolific and acclaimed producers,” the BX-based producer has produced a number of hits, including The Notorious B.I.G.'s "I Got a Story to Tell'' and Black Rob's "Whoa!".
