On The Corner Records are proud to reveal the second instalment of their newlyforged ‘Double Drop’ series, pairing together two EP’s from two different membersof the OTC family, delivering a cosmically twinned, action packed slab of wax.

Label boss Pete OtC developed this series to introduce record players around theworld to new artists coming through On The Corner’s region of the solar system.With Vinyl manufacture in pandemic pandemonium and questionable environmentalimpacts of the efficacy of Disco 12”s it seemed like a prime time to get laying theOTC family’s sonic landscapes onto highly collectible long playing EP pairings, withno represses and no compromise on the artwork, each side sporting a 20+ minuteaudio journey.

On the A-Side, and hot on the heels of the ‘Dub Protection & The SportswearMystics’ cassette, The Diabolical Liberties present their ‘Birds Of Paradise’ EP. ThisEP all but sold-out and follows the dynamite success of the Duo’s debut long player“High Protection & The Sportswear Mystics” and it’s follow-up hype cassette ofdubbed out versions (as well as a series of self-released and long sold-out whitelabels that included collaborations with Nyasha (a moniker of Nubya Garcia) and asuper limited On The Corner 10” dubplate.)

On the flip, having debuted on last year’s sold out Triple Vinyl ‘Door To TheCosmos’ LP, Edrix Puzzle are back with a stonking new EP ‘Rise To Eris’. With thisnew offering, Edrix Puzzle’s core Drums, Sax, Double bass and Percussion areaugmented with spoken word, guitar and synths. Project founder and lead, Nathan‘Tugg’ Curran (Drums & Synths) is joined by long time collaborators Oli Savill(Percussion) and Martin Slattery (Bass Clairnet & Sax) (who are also members ofTugg’s Planet Battagon project), as well as Tom Mason (Double Bass) and JoshBarry (Spoken Word) for this more acoustic, analog expression and surveying ofextra terrestrial forms with sparse synth manipulation and a sweet seasoning ofelectronic affectations. Exploring themes and energies in the territory of noirinstrumental jazz the cinematic energy is unpinned with driving breaks and psychefusion meanderings into the extra terrestrial landscapes akin to ‘Mwandishi’ eraHerbie Hancock.[info sheet from distr.]
