Styles P from The LOX and producer / artist Havoc from Mobb Deep collaborate on the new album “Wrecking Manner”.
Two Hip-Hop legends that are part of historic groups, are forming a new group. Havoc, from the Queensbridge bred Mobb Deep (rest in power Prodigy) and Styles P of The Lox, straight out of Yonkers are forming Wreckage Manner. The debut Wreckage Manner vinyl album album will be released on Feb 4. Both Havoc and Styles P have collaborated with a number of artists in recent years. Havoc released joint albums with Alchemist, Flee Lord and Dark Lo. His last solo album was in 2014, the same year as the last Mobb Deep album.Styles has teamed up to release projects with Talib Kweli, Berner and Dave East in recent years. In addition to new music from The Lox, Styles P has released at least one new album every year since 2018."Smoking weed is the medicine without the side effects/Reflect on high school, me and Lauren playing Das EFX/Real n-gga 'til the day I die or I'm out of breath/I got fresh as soul powder so I guess I'm powder fresh," Styles P raps over Havoc's gritty, piano-laced production. Havoc also gets busy on the mic and lets his opps know that for all his success, he's still the same kid from 41st Side."Yo, you ain't gotta like me, this is not The Like Me Show/Confront me then, n-gga take a shot or just let it go/I can get a n-gga wet while I'm out in Monaco/But I'd rather get the bread, conquer the impossible," he raps.
