RHR fuses electro, breaks and baile funk.
Brazilian, born in Diadema and based in São Paulo, RHR shows us a glimpse of his mind scenario rendered into the weaving of many rhythmic traditions that go from futuristic Baile Funk - ”Na Captura”, “Proibidão” - with distorted ragga vocals - "Muita Pose" - to dense Electro - "Mente e Drama" and "Sem Sono" - passing by the intricacies of Jungle Tekno - "Linha de Ofício" - as well as everything in between, while never sticking to any of those at a time.
He signed his first 12" with the Miami based Omnidisc label and now puts out his second vinyl/digital release on TIJOLO Records, a Brazilian label based in New York City.
The Ep is accompanied by a video project that tells us more about the songs and RHR's mindflow. Every single one of these experiments was produced during this pandemic, a period in which the Brazilian government took a bunch of debatable decisions.
Living amidst the many stimuli that a metropolis as hectic as the paulista capital generates; with its labyrinthine streets and dense fluxes of bodies; one could easily feel lost, taken by the relentless constance of its inner pace. These forces are not easily transformed, converting them demands plenty of imagination and a lot of will power in order from anyone who truly wishes to turn energies presently so oppressive into music that is potentially liberating.
