Operation Dinner Out, the second album by the RVB Quartet - named after key figure Rebekka Van Bockstal - to be released on W.E.R.F. records, is an outstanding contemporary jazz album. Deep bass tones, warm saxophone sounds and open harmony are the main ingredients.
Rebekka composed eight authentic compositions that are deeply rooted in jazz, but at the same time sound very fresh and modern. Sometimes groovy, sometimes musing and compelling and always with a lot of attention for a warm and comforting sound. With 'Operation Dinner Out' Rebekka firmly confirms her position as one of the interesting new voices of the rich and creative Belgian jazz scene.
