Berlin Sound!
6 years after his last release on the infamous Berlin "Just Another Beat" label (Gunnar Jonsson, Sven Weisemann, Rising Sun, Kim Brown, Jouem) Swedish producer Prostitune is back with a new EP. And we couldn't be prouder that he chose Someguy Records as his outlet.
6 years after his last release on the infamous Berlin “Just Another Beat” label (Gunnar Jonsson, Sven Weisemann, Rising Sun, Kim Brown, Jouem) Swedish producer Prostitune is back with a new EP. And we couldn’t be prouder that he chose Someguy Records as his outlet.
The ep consists of 5 original tracks, shifting from warm house groovers and dancefloor fillers to deep, epic, atmospheric post-industrial soundscapes.
As a producer, Prostitune chooses to walk off the beaten track, not following any trends, but carving his own way in sound, creating a very unique place for himself in today’s electronic music scene.
ABOUT PROSTITUNE
Prostitune is David Janzen, Swedish veteran producer who started off on Kompakt Records under the moniker “Steadycam”. Steadycam became Prostitune, producing three cutting-edge records for the brilliant Berliner label Just Another Beat. His style situates on the intersection between house, lofi, and soundtrack and always has a distinct organic feel to it. After a radio silence of 6 years, Prostitune now is back with his first ep on Brussels’ Someguy Records.
ABOUT SOMEGUY RECORDS
Someguy Records was founded during the first Corona-lockdown. A first ep by label boss Someguy was picked up and heavily played by Roger 23 (Ilian Tape) and Even Tuell, to name but a few. Someguy Records aims for timeless releases, tries to steer clear from any trends and therefore choses artists such as Prostitune and Different Fountains to join the family.
