Karriere, als er sein Quintett im November 1960 in Manhattans Half Note Café versammelte, um dieses

Duke Pearson am Klavier, Laymon Jackson am Bass und Lex Humphries am Schlagzeug aufzunehmen.

ScoLoHoFo - die Supergruppe bestehend aus Gitarrist John Scofield, Saxophonist Joe Lovano, Bassist
Dave Holland und Schlagzeuger Al Foster - spielte erstmals 1999 als Band zusammen, aber die Verbindungen
der Musiker reichten Jahrzehnte zurück. Scofield, Holland und Foster waren alle Mitglieder der Miles-
Davis-Gruppen und spielten 1993 zusammen auf Joe Hendersons Miles-Tributalbum „So Near, So Far“ auf.
