'Deep Blue Dreams' is the debut album of the Berlin-based, 26-year-old musician, singer and producer Lucas Herweg alias LLUCID. Inspired by role models like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Frank Ocean or Ty Dolla $ign, LLUCID consistently blurs any boundaries between rap and R&B. The 12 songs are far removed from all style and genre drawers and deliver bangers between rap and trap, gentle sound waves with exquisite beats and a sad autotune, hymn-sacral hip-hop and an unusual duo with the British singer Kimbra, who already with 'A Reckoning' released one of the albums of the year.
