White Owl Records is pleased to present Brooklyn-based Concrete Husband’s debut EP, Pelvic Resonance, featuring four driving, sensuous, and gritty tracks that celebrate NYC’s underground techno scene. The first track, “Dancing Soles,” sets the tone with harsh drums, floating flute pads, and entrancingly distorted stabs. “Sweat On My Back” dives headfirst into a vortex of droning noise and brutal hi-hats. “I Just Wanna Groove” drives subwoofers to the limit, accented with short melodies and swung percussion. The title track, “Pelvic Resonance,” follows a flitting melody as it dances over and around a distorted drum loop like a hare running through underbrush. The four tracks create a well rounded vision of techno that is brutal yet uplifting with a unique sonic palette. Pelvic Resonance is a love letter to the mainstays of the scene and an exciting portrait of the next generation of New York City DJs, producers, and ravers coming of age in the techno.
