Leroy Hutson takes his vows on 'Trust My Heart', swearing in a new relationship greenlit by the almighty heavens. The second entry in Home of the Good Groove's Hutson Sevens series digs back into Hutson's Curtom-era archives, pairing a genuinely unreleased cut with a long-overdue 45 debut. 'Trust My Heart' was recorded during the April 1977 Curtom sessions but left on the shelf, and it hears Hutson fully composed, basking in the string-and-brass arrangements he refined after leaving the Impressions. The far side's 'I'll Be There, I'll Still Care', meanwhile, finally escapes the LP-only status of Love Oh Love (1973), where it sat memorably as one of his most devastating, though it's equally as powerful on its own.[info sheet from distr.]
