limitierte wiederveröffentlichung des 1995er albums als 180g schwere vinyl-edition. nach dem moby über nacht mit seinem track go die techno-szene mit einem der großen hits dieser phase versorgte und schnell zwei compilations mit frühwerken des künstlers auf den markt geworfen wurden, sollte everything is wrong sein erstes richtiges album werden. frisch bei dem label mute unter vertrag, zeigte sich moby musikalisch erstaunlich facettenreich. auf der einen seite stehen dancefloor-hymnen wie das überdrehte -feeling so real oder die single every time you touch me, auf der anderen seite überraschte moby mit ambient und filigranem pop. when its cold id like to die mit gast-sängerin mimi goese klingt ganz so als würde moby die frühwerke des labels 4ad (cocteau twins, dead can dance) außerordentlich schätzen. mit dieser varianz nimmt er seinen weiteren werdegang voraus, bei dem er noch häufiger überraschen sollte.

von anfang bis ende ein echter dancefloor-zerstörer.

steve bicknell is currently having a moment. when you look at his recent releases, his growing number of gigs, his eye-catching collaborations and his new record label 6dimensions, it seems he’s feeling particularly inspired. resident advisor steve bicknell has been an integral and highly-important segment of the underground electronic scene since the early ’90s and has continued to expand his musical horizons through producing, promoting and playing” hyponik “bicknell has shaped a scene from the shadows for decades thanks to the legendary lost parties he co-ran, which brought djs like jeff mills and robert hood to the uk for the first time, as well as his own production work the vinyl factory an underground leader announces his return. his 6dimensions label seems to have reinvigorated him the arts desk.

finally a full ep by d marc cantu (1/2 of 2am/fm and under other aliases involved in collabos with traxx). technically its the follow up to his cult hit no control (creme jak 02, today a highly sought after 12inch) and in good h-h-h-house fashion this ep contains a ball busting jtc remix of this anthem. but the centre piece must be the title track one of the most emo-simplo jak trax weve ever heard here at the office. starting out simple enough with a single finger synth line (like the musings of a retarded secretary), it mutates into a big wailing distorted saxophone (or a mating whale, who knows?), this puppy will fill your room and throw everybody into an instant k-hole. hey, if that dont sound appealing check the soundclips for proof, its pure liberation... nay rebirth! more floor destroying crazyness on the flipside, but were all out of steam describing it. jak jak jak

for the 11th release tabla records welcomes parisian maestro chris carrier to the label. carrier can be seen as one of the most prolific and gifted producers around. the key figure of the french music scene gives us two indescribable tracks: one stunning house-anthem (get on it) created in cooperation with gauthier dm and a superb acid-goodie (acid week). spanish natives javier carballo & hanfry martinez round it up with their heavy flowing remix on acid work.

through the years intacto records became a household name. the label was founded in amsterdam in 2004 under the collaborative genius of shinedoe and 2000 and one. it was launched as a platform for the by then strongly emerging amsterdam scene supporting a pack of local artists shaping a fresh distinctive sound which took over the electronic scene by storm. intactos defining sound included many styles and its catalogue is a melting pot of influences of which house and techno are the key elements. after running intacto records successfully for 14 years, shinedoe and 2000 and one have joined forces on their very first collaborative release. a ten year old unreleased 2000 and one track world of acid have been played out by shinedoe for years and received ecstatic feedback from the clubbing crowds. convincing him to release this timeless tune to scorch the dancefloors worldwide, shinedoe was inspired to do a remix. in return 2000 and one remixed her track acidploitation which she recently produced. acidploitation ep is the culmination of two dutch legends, defining their brilliant take on music once again
