nach dem relaunch von studiotek im letzten jahr kombiniert das wegweisende britische tech-house-label ein neu aufgelegtes gemeinschaftsprojekt von dave brennan und labelinhaber darren roach mit zwei neuen und unveröffentlichten tracks auf der anderen seite. die a-seite bietet rollende prime-time-energie mit eher dubby, tiefen klängen in form von „let’s search” und „kambo”. die originalpressung von „ride the riddem” (stuk002) hat auf discogs einen ordentlichen preis erzielt und ist nun zum ersten mal seit 2004 wieder erhältlich.

andre zimmer landet mit einigen zertifizierten block-rockin -beats auf craigie knowes. die ep „swamp circuit“ lässt sich von der frühen uk-hardcore-szene, electro, der new-wave-progressive-bewegung und vielem mehr beeinflussen und verschmilzt diese einflüsse zu etwas neuem, kohärentem, einzigartigem und furiosem. wenn das kein hörenswertes paket ist, dann wissen wir auch nicht, was sonst. eine richtige platte für richtige djs!
