last spotted tomfooling as tryck & ton with edvin edvinsson, and prior to that as tiedye on mike simonettis italians do it better imprint, subversive swede anton klint makes his debut on simonettis latest label 2mr with two more vitally trippy, heavily dub-informed originals. ‘mun chugs at a stately 107. rippling in places, squiggling in others, theres an unabashed fx weirdness bubbling and popping over the insistent shimmering dubwise groove. tweaking, freaking but running at such a smooth temper theres space between the chaos, anton is balancing some heavily hypnotic alchemy here. ‘strupe takes things even lower and slower. a dusty bluesy chugger, unhurried-yet-relentlessly building with a great sense of cosmic drama, listen and marvel as more elements are precision introduced throughout the seven minute trip. a masterclass in modern day honkytonk. remix-wise were thrusted into the later hours with a technoid twist from andre laos. maintaining antons originals trippy charm and measured pace but re-amping it with grittier foundation, teasing risers and an insurgent synth strike, its the perfect complement to one of 2mrs most singular releases to date. open wide.

tryck & ton is run by edvin e & anton klint. after a couple of amazing edit releases the guys return with the first original work from the newly founded label. conga liver is a percussion driven banger with serious highs and lows. the track gets remix treatment from lisbons finest tiago, who adds a discogroove, horns & an incredibly groovy baseline to the table. final track ‘on the flip’ is a playful groover sounding like robotnik having a loud wine-impregnated argument with tony allen over who to host the afterparty.

for the nineth offering on public possession anton klint returns with another highly danceable two track ep. save yourself some time and have drunch, is what is suggested on a sticker gracing the cover. this dictum can be interpreted in various ways, but one thing is for sure, if you buy this record - you will have at least two tracks that will help you control the dancefloor with ease any given night

the 6th offering by public possession comes from our old friend anton klint. we have been playing records together for many years and he is for sure one of the best rock/disco djs we know. he has put out a few records together with his partner edvin edvinson as tiedye in the past, but this is his first ever solo production to be released. we are very happy that we could work with him on this one and are now able to present to you the spritzer ep.

rune returns on his own drum island imprint, this time very ably assisted by uk house turned ambient ambassador chris coco weekend billionaires, in its original form is a delightfully lolloping balearic builder. the chris coco sunshine mix immerses those guitar licks and synth pads in a sea of dubbed out, ultra-violet light. already rumoured to be included on harvey s eagerly awaited mercury rising comp. anton klint (tryck & ton / public possession) steps up on the flip with a no-less psychedelic, but decidedly more laser-lit interpretation. finally alta lab wraps things up with a pacier interpretation, housing up the elements into a hypnotic, emotive rendition

andré laos second act on let s play house is a continuation of his first. like roundabout, nordic delight (the guy hails from gothenburg, so you can guess where the title originated), is sunny and bright piano laden house that s as melodious as it is layered and ornate. unlike that ep, though, this one really revolves around one track stroganoff which is presented in three different forms: a vocal mix, a piano stew dub, and a remix from anton klint of tiedye. supplementing and equalizing those is kalops, the 12inches second original.
