just in time for the festival season on mars, oyvind morken returns to full pupp with yet another batch of unlikely bangers.

italian producer morkebla presents his new “inner maze walkthrough” ep on fuselab. drippy rhythms, haunted industrial touch, subtly discomforting though balanced textures - a good blend of ambient electronica and nowadays meta divings into one’s mind corners. there is also a collaboration with infinity frequencies and a remix by perfume advert on a 12” with printed cover by theresa baumgartner.

the first release on doble bilder is curated by the duo mørk, formed by emanuele pertoldi and francesco devincenti. pareidolia ep tells the phenomena from which it takes its name, that is a subconscious illusion that makes us see forms and recognizable objects in amorphous structures surrounding us. the ep evokes three pareidolia phenomena through sounds assembled live with hardware and recorded on tape.

following an erotic adventure in the jungle on his own moonlighting imprint, Øyvind morken returns to full pupp, with invisible objects.

the anticipated second release from los angeles/seattle imprint slumdiscs comes in the form of a 12 inch from two artists who have each had a prolific year, refining their respective takes on dark electronics. side a features three tracks from italian producer morkebla (where to now?/reckno). he utilizes ethereal synths to create vast, mind expanding soundscapes just as suited for club use as they are for deep meditation. side b is provided by portland artist best available technology (astro:dynamics/working nights). contained within is an experiment in variations and reductions that rewards close listeners with a glimpse into the slow decay of self-contained sonic ecosystems. *go slumming* marks the first full length collaboration between the two artists and showcases the best of their respective styles.
