geschmeidig faedelt madmotormiquel seine audiospuren durch genres und stilistische andeutungen. dabei gelingt es ihm, das scheinbar gegensaetzliche zu harmonischer stimmigkeit zu vertwisten. etwa hip hop und gradlinige tanzmusik. für den titel daddy are you proud verteilt der berliner produzent jazzige piano-samples und poetischen rap zwischen wummerndem bass und treibenden hi hats. mollono.bass setzt die stimme des originals nur sparsam ein, angelt sich für seinen remix die hintergruendigen synthesizer-akkorde und lotet ihre melodioese tiefe aus.. sie erweist sich als verdammt groß. im zwielicht hypnotischer flaechengebilde zeichnet sich mit minimaler und doch extrem schwungvoller rhythmik ein klangbild namens recall ab, und im spiel zwischen trippigem beat-gefrickel und verträumtem klavier-geklimper entsteht die dynamische ironie von too much money not enough style. eingaengige grooves aus faszinierenden zwischenwelten!

dont wanna go to ep features three deep and warmly textured productions. the title track is a creeper with its spoken vocal and popping synth work. take one step back matches smooth rhodes keys with sumptuous acoustic guitar and goosebump-inducing vocal. final cut honey bomb steps up the tempo and increases the funk. twisted electric riffs and echoing chimes working brilliantly together to create a dancefloor gem.
