the titles present on mosso004 both simultaneously develop the different, yet ever so complimentary, aspects of alejandros production. on one hand, his signature rhythmics make for some all important body fodder, while his honed synth programation gives way to the most reflective moments. some traits that are always recognizable in his live performance as well...

this third outing expands further the mosso musical range, presenting alejandro mosso in some of his most rhythmic and yet, dreamiest atmospheres. unlike mosso002, which got the producer to hunt in his forgotten documents, both airs present on this record have been impetuously developed over the last few months. on the a-side, pleamar is a driving number which boots with a hypnotic metallophone pattern, slowly giving way into a electro (rga)nic piano fest, which in turn twists itself into bent, crushed and perverted synth whistles. this a-side has been designed keeping the lower half of the body in mind, offering full waves of joy and jubilation! now that you are grounded enough, how about flipping that record and meeting us on bajamar - low tide, litterally. on the shores of this b-side is where a wonderful landscape of shimmering spray and glistening stars await you. here again alejandros ability to bring together biotic and mechanic in a homogeneous unity is best revealed. in a magical tour de force, bajamar sends tingles from the base of your heels, up and all along your spine, into your crown, triggering instant wonder, reveries and realisations.

the second edition of the mosso series adheres to its archetypal plan, as alejandro mosso leads us forwards on his musical trek and through the grooves carved onto this record. for this new number, alejandro mosso decided to delve back into his archives and take a closer listen to some forgotten, unfinished pieces. some listeners will surely recognise certain bits of this record as they were part of mossos live performance years ago. this is however the first time they will be edited and see the light of day. on the a-side, aconcagua is a festive theme on which a magnetic marimba riff turns into an escalating melody, surrounded by a forest of ascending percussions - characteristic of mossos production – lightly floating around it. cashmere, the flip, was conceived while airborne on a flying carpet, half way above the indian subcontinent and below the countles gleaming stars. perfect instance of alejandro mossos talent, it is a subtle blend of hovering winds and crystallized textures. the bansuri flute and the clave go hand in hand to form reassuring horizons, the soundtrack for a longer moment of hope, greater perspective and spiritual transformation.
