after a short break in releases, plastik people are back with the third installment of the various people. we see label owner marc cotterell up first with his slice of 90 s house music, incorperating slick grooves and catchy cut up vocals, along side mark on side a, a new addition to the plastik people family from london, charles caliber, who graces the ep with a stunning soulful house groove called moving on. on the flip side nyc artist doug gomez brings us a classic sounding, deep head nodding track which was originally releases on frole records and we loved it so much that we decided it needed a vinyl releases, to round off the release, we are very pleased to have mikki funk back on plastik people. he delivers us a splendid cut of uk garage, mikki funk has also previously released on rm records and music is love.

kiko navarro has released on some pretty impressive labels. nite grooves, third ear and even king street sounds to name a few! which makes us very excited to have him as part of plastik people. kiko delivers us some straight up dance floor house killers, first track, bates dance has infectious strings combined with moody drums & rhythms that are reminiscence of early point g sounds that came out on basic recordings back in the day, kiko then follows up with a groovy hip shaking track called camon yo! which will certainly move any floor.

underground house from olivier portal (playin 4 the city). track a2 & b1 were originally released on the backshop ep on tropism records 2002, an ep thats very hard to find around on vinyl and the ep comes with a fresh new cut called, minor track which incorporates those classic p4tc vibes & deep rhythms.

we are very proud to present our next release in the series -various people-. the first tracks comes from the very respected and highly in demand us artist -reelsoul-, reelsoul delivers a classic underground vibe, raw beats and harsh organ stabs, one for the heads! next up, true to our plastik people tradition another track from the vaults! this time we see c & m productions track -possible-, this track originally came out on the lesson one ep back in 1997 ,which to this day is extremely rare and hard to find. last up, label boss marc cotterell delivers a new track under his -cotterell- moniker, striped down beats from that 95 era, organ stabs, old school vocals and a baseline that will destroy any dance floor. very much reminiscence of early kot who he loves and respects very highly

back in the day, there was one artist that stood out in the underground, this person was admired and respected worldwide, his cuts we re played from paris, london, nyc to chicago & back again, he was - olivier portal aka playin 4 the city. this year, 2014 - playin 4 the city is back, 3 brand new tracks released on the deeply respected us label - plastik people. side a delivers two soulful edged tracks with a reprise at the start of a1 which keeps the roots of p4tc from back in the day - both tracks include live bass by slikk tim. side b *good groove* is a black & white track, it has the feel of the early bouge & shuffle track that came out on olivier s straight up label, deep & groovy elements, 16 bit samples & keeping it four to the floor. good groove is sure to be a classic, one for the true heads & the p4tc collective.

a spectrum of sounds from us house & garage to soulful grooves side one track one: louie balo - dont shut me out this track original came out in 1994 & to this date is super rare & hard to find, louie did us a special cut just for the plastik vinyl release. keeps the original groove but adds drums, fx & of course that classic horn. track two: mikki funk - lose my mind . mikki tight production shines through with a classic garage sound combined with soulful elements, tight chords and beautiful use of the vocal - one for the heads for years to come. side two track one: tuff jam & mike sharon - thank you house music. masterpiece of us house & uk garage sound. im sure everyone is already familiar with tuff jams work from the 90’s & his work with matt lamont, this time he teams up with mike sharon who adds his usual touch of quality with his production & deep shuffling drums & driving bassline.. this is a must have track two: marc cotterell - jus dance featuring karl the voice. soulful tip on this one from the label owner. tough us drums with soulful grooves and classic chords. matched by the amazing vocals of karl the voice who has worked with derrek carter & playin 4 the city. beautiful production and sound to round of the ep
