another root ready to bloom has been found in yann polewka. his opener is a filter laden, vocal drenched affair that holds the ever present rfb groove. all i dooo is next and holds that similar french filter style this one focusing on heavy strings and driving drums. the b side sees up ramp up a gear, luv me baby is looping and relentless. the piano and bass loop is short and repetitive but is constantly changing with filters vocals and interweaving percussion, this one works great on the dance floors. with b2 we see rfb take an unusual path for the label. all around is reminiscent of drum and bass almost liquid vibe with seductive vocals and ramped up tempo.

rudder & kresy join the roots for bloom camp with a cocktail of deep house cuts. the title track stateless is emotional and grooving, with the likes of maya jane coles picking up on it immediately.

laesh another newcomer to roots for bloom delivers a club ready three tracker with ripples of early sneak influences and robsoul-ish vibes. all three run on a similar tip relying on samples fresh and more well known alike but all three will do the job on the floors.

l atelier hit back to the roots for bloom roster with a killer groove to start things off, sexy, moving and one to get any floor going. jamie trench follows with a nod to the old school of 80s drum machines and twisted vocal hits, with a disco twinge on the break. oli furness refurns after appearing on the last shag this one following in the same suite, heavy drums, killer sampling and an absolute heater. ghetto chords are the new boys on the block here for rootsforbloom bringing up the b side with a jazz, piano infused hit. again anyone who knows the series will be all over this.

shag edits series hits volume 7 and in great style. we welcome oli furness to the shag party and he delivers two outrageous cuts. u can is a disco bomb hitting you in all the right places, from the hands in the air, to the guilt free sing along moments. kick it rocks a hip house feel, holding real grit and groove throughout. jamie joins oli on the a side with woody dunked, anyone who knows jamie s work will recognise the style, always grooving, hard hitting snares and heavily sampled. bress underground ties up the b side with another disco gem. again its a let your hair down, vocal groover with a carefree attitude.

so the shag edits hits volume 6 and again welcomes in new talents to the roots for bloom roster. ethyene delivers a sample laden vocal sprung straight up house classic. lk slows the pace but replaces with soul and crystal clear percussion. georgi barrel opens up the b side on one to please any daytime party with great use of his well equipped studio and a sample to die for. david moran seals off the ep in true shag edits style, no barriers, great sampling and all with a great party in mind. followers of the shag edits will not be disappointed.

the shag edits return on roots for bloom with volume 5. label boss jamie trench starts things off with where the party at which reaches in to a hip hop flavour with that 90s sample feel. reece johnson rounds off the a side with a disco style cut that will bring the boogie to any floor. the b side sees the label welcome more newcomers in bristols j.morrison and the mysterious g.markus. brown eyes sees that 70s style funk brought to the table and bing! is a more house affair with a rolling feel to it.

roots for bloom hit release number eleven with another newcomer to the label. mara lakour deliver straight up house grooves from france to the uk based label. clark st is the big hotter here with powerful stabs and synth lines and that ever present prominent low end that roots for bloom is becoming known for. the whole ep carries a 90 s twang but brought very much up to date in great style.

roots for bloom hits its tenth release and welcomes carlos sanchez & alex kaddour to the label. this ep is made for the floor, its no nonsense, groove based house music at its best. tough basslines drive the a side black freddie s moustache and echoey vocals stab through. on the flip the basslines remain at the forefront of your attention, but this time layered alongside more mysterious synth lines and twisted vocals. with previous releases on the likes of 8bit and poker flat its easy to see why these guys will fit right in at the roots for bloom camp.

the shag edits hits volume 4 welcoming david glass, timmy p and twos tones to the roots for bloom roster. david brings a big hitter with tape deck with its mc sampled vocal, timmy s is drenched in sunshine for all the day parties this is sure to go off at and two s tones takes things on a jazz twist, with clever sampling but always that underlying groove that the roots for bloom label is known for. fans of the previous releases wont be dissapointed.

roots for bloom bring in four new faces for the seventh release. we see label boss jamie trench deliver an edit and remix of daniel curpen - daddy was a thug, and david moran teams up with albert vogt for their track cut loose and then collabs with mark crumbs for tha bassment. the a side sees jamie bring a rolling dub edit to daniels original and then takes things a little darker for the a2 remix. david morans cut loose shows off the vocal talents of albert vogt which grooves along seductively, then tha bassment as expected brings things a little harder and more for those after hour spots.
