hamburg residents jakob seidensticker and bardia salour, together known as seidensticker & salour are hardly newcomers to the scene. jakob has been producing music as one third of the internationally known wareika, and bardia has made a name for himself through playing regularly amongst the hamburg club circuit

in his biography, arjuna schiks is described as a producer with an ability to bring the human out of the machine, unleashing our emotions. after listening to doha , we were affected in the same way. simply put, his music makes us feel good. melodic accents and danceable rhythms blend in purposeful unison, and it is with the doha ep that arjuna will join wir. he has appeared on gem records, manual music, traum, and trapez, with original eps, and has recently graced a number of labels with remixes, leaving his signature on each ep. his production output is impressive, and like most greats, his sound continues to grow and develop with each studio session. arjuna resides in amsterdam, where he has developed a distinct and solid sound, and a loyal fan base. he performs live close to every weekend all over holland. we invited arjuna to come and perform as the special guest at our treibstoff 14.5 year anniversary party for his first ever performance on german soil. his set was received with smiling faces and hands in the air, coming from the brimming dance floor of colognes gewölbe, a warm welcome to say the least. we had the pleasure of spending some time together after the event, and his character is just like his music. he is a cheerful and passionate person with a bright sense of humor and we are elated to welcome him to wir. keep your ears open, for there is more to come..

we are proud and happy to present the first release by our cologne buddy ziggy kinder. since many years ziggy is a close friend and has impressed with his work on labels like ware and tiefschwarz imprint souvenir. favela is the generally used term for a shanty town in brasil. ziggy has recorded the vocals originally with aline de magalhaes during his brasil-trip. this house-tune has been tested succesfully on the dancefloor and comes with great remixes by soukie & windish from hamburg. the digital release also includes a remix by deep data mastermind rené breitbarth from berlin.

>life is the only drug i wont ever give up<. this is probably the most life-affirming claim ever forwarded by ware- labelboss matthias schaffhäuser and its made to fit the party. and as hes being the guest on a very special label hes going all the way. totally in accordance with the wir-label-philosophy, the title track shows off lots of modern producing skills, never sticking to just one rigid idea but coming along with a whole bunch of attitudes. pop-induced vocals are artfully woven into minimal beats, housy strokes meet sound concrète, and the whole combines to one neverending track, leaving the elitist style ghetto behind and delivering itself to the pulsating life outside, leading to a truly beautiful work clearly thats one hell of a challenge for every remixer, but lovable atom smahing mathias kaden is the right man at the right place, as he knows how to deal with emotional content under the influence of the contemporary raw. his eleven-minute-opus tightens, focalizes, piles and moves around the original material, but without betraying its spirit. this remix seems larger than life but still maddingly gripping and you get the overwhelming impression that here every angle leads to another, every bit communicating. its a nation under the groove, all in one track, and its here to be heard
