Dont worry, Christophe Dalla-ca aka Kiko is not interested in a seventies disco revival, even if the tongue in cheek reference to John Travolta in the title track of this EP might imply that. On the other hand, the work released by the man from Grenoble for such renowned labels as Ozone, Hot Banana, Goodlife and Turbo has consistently shown that Kikos interpretation of Techno from the 2000s also includes a conscious reworking of past dance floor orientated electronic music. In this sense, Kiko has succeeded in making three stand alone, coherent interpretations of a mutual meltdown of New Wave, Disco and Elektro, with the tracks on the >Tragolta EP<. Whether he is impressing with the best possible mix of EBM and Dave Clarkes Red series (30.1) or enchanting us with the continuously jewel like, dazzling melancholic melodies of >Electric Burst< or >Tragolta<– the fact remains true that he perfectly supplements this approach to the sound cosmos of Datapunk
