Opener ?Evil Laff? effervesces like a lab experiment, with layers of rich sampled percussion looping, stuttering and decompressing as the track picks up steam. Motored by competing snare and hat patterns and accented by bubbling melodic tone, the movement is measured throughout by a sinister vocal presence. On the ?ip, ?Wow Evil Laff (Konrad Black Remix)? sees the Wagon Repair veteran plunge the original into even darker waters. Slammed metallic percussion and a deep ascendant bass melody dictate the pace, culminating in a determined drive of thudded keys and racing shake at the narrator?s command.
