Turmspringer are back !! Supported by Krause Duo, Chloe, Ruede Hagelstein, Cotumo, Hometrainer and many more...
It is unmistakably realizable Robert Galic (alias Edgar Peng und RAS) and Tim Brüggemann (alias Didier & the Golden Girls) are deeply rooted in Funk & Soul music. Back to 2001 when they met first time RAS just had released the appreciated album “Rhythmic Altered State” on Sonar Kollektiv. They worked for two years together in the RAS band when more by chance a squat-party put them on another stage whilst playing Minimal with records lent by other DJs. But this coincidence hoisted sails for another route. Turmspringer was born.
Only 2007 - when the DJ duo already was touring thru Europe and played in clubs such as Panoramabar, Batofar, The Fridge - their debut 12″ came out on the self established label TonKind. But - as they gave most of their life to party - it even took another 14 month for a follower.
“Of Knights And Rooks” is another “altered state” of their work. With just two tracks Turmspringer show their point of view on Minimal Tech-House. “Swag” is a squeaky tuned track that leaves Minimal standards far behind by voluminously uplifting drums and breaks. On the flip side “Battue” is more a muddy, deep Latin-House track taking a few other influences as ingredients, too. Driving and relaxed at the same time, “Battue” has not even reached the end once it ends.
