DJ FEEDBACK
Dana Ruh( Brouqade, Einmaleins): Ahmet is crazy... :-D great stuff (like expected). will play this out!!!
Mathias Kaden (Vakant, Freude am Tanzen): Again a great EP from Ahmet. He has always good ideas in sounds and harmony!! The strings are very dramatic....! thanks ;-)
Laurent Garnier (F Communications): Nice tripy monster will play for sure!!!
Christopher Colak (Dinamo FM, Istanbul): Ahmet Sisman definitely has his own style and keeps up evolving his grooves higher and higher. This release is very unique. Especially "Uzak" and "Esraj".
Tim Xavier (Clinkrecordings): I like the Uzak tune.....works for me...
William Kouam Djoko (ThirtyOneTwenty, Meerestief): Filmic big room production work. Very dark for the more serious minds in the night. Loune is the one for me with it's oldskool house feel beats and movie like atmosphere!
Someone Else (Foundsound Records): dude! this release is intense!
Chris Carrier (Freak'n Chic, Get Physical): Nice EP with a strong oriental vibe.
Tiefschwarz (Cocoon, Fine): Great release. Ii like it a lot, thanks so much.
Martin Eyerer (Kling Klong, Session Deluxe): All tracks are cool!! Esraj is my favourite!!
Chloe (Kill the Dj, Karat): Uzak is a good track, will play it!!!
Patrick Bateman (Tic Tac Toe, Connect Four): Mister Sisman is for sure one of the new rising stars, I want him to do something for us at Tic Tac Toe too. LOVE this release, will play it a lot !!! FULL SUPPORT !!!
Agoria (Different, PIAS): Cool record!!!
Jeremy P. Caulfield (Dumb Unit): Wow!! This is really amazing stuff!!! Super super, great air and space.

INFO
Between Istanbul and Essen, Ahmet Sisman has been moving through different worlds. Influenced by the mystique music of the Sufi-Culture, his sound is combining traditional elements in a unique and post-modern way. Ahmet has created his own style very quickly, thus he released his 2 first EP's on Lessizmore and Stock5 beginning of 2008 and he already got the attention of all the big names in the scene.
Sven Väth played all the Summer his track Buiya at Cocoon Amnesia and finally licensed it for his last Mix Session Sound of the Ninth Season.

Now comes the time for the second highlight on Lessizmore Records. Ahmet releases 4 tracks on two different formats: the vinyl version of Esraj includes the exclusive Loune and the eponymous track whereas the digital version includes the Saire and Uzak exclusives instead of Loune. So… Vinyl adept or Digital addict? Choose your side!

As said before, Ahmet loves melting traditional instruments with new electronic beats, therefore all the tracks here are pushing forward these particularities. Esraj begins with a classical French horn passed in a blur of sounds, later building up the tension with the Indian Esraj instrument (sounding like European fiddles) and cheating with deliverance from a subtle rhythm. In the end, a Chinese bowed instrument called erhu closes this hectic trip.
Loune, second side of the vinyl, is some kind of cinematic travel along Indiana Jones and John Williams epic strings. It directly immerses the listener into a long mental run.

On the digital version, the two exclusive tracks are equal pearls in terms of quality: Uzak is lead by pitched strings and a superb Native American flute. The percussions are perfectly arranged by the use of dumbeks and darbukas plus orchestral effects like gongs, toms and cymbals. In Saire the hookline is a string sample, and the use of wind instruments like clarinets, dudeks and a flute from Thailand provoke a mix of strange melodies, slightly talking to our inner souls. To conclude, Ahmet hits the track with clay drums, bongos and a taphoon drum from Thailand: this is a very huge drum used for mystical ceremonies in temples… Deep deep deep!
