Computor Rockers return after the worldwide hit that was Computor interface (BRK49) with another showcase of exactly how electro should be put together. All too often retro can mean dull and uninspired (or just lame plagiarism), but anyone who has been following Ed DMXs career over the last several years will know that really isnt the way he plays the game. Instead he understands the value of songs and melody... the beats are fresh, without a doubt, but it will usually be the tune or the lyrics that will hook you into a DMX production, the elements that turn just another electro track into something unique and valuable. And so it proves here, from the classic Computor shock (which helpfully comes in vocal and instrumental versions for those who just cant do the voice thing) to the melodic and hooky electro-funk of How we used to rock and Distributed processing. Stunning as always!
