Following on from successful releases on Kitsuné, PDMs latest offering is 21st century dance music at its very best – a patchwork time-capsule of italo, disco and funk conjured up in a contemporary cauldron of cool. With blissed-out melodies served sweetly over bum-shaking bass, and a dose of the double-clap thrown in for good measure, Palermo Disko Machine – as the name might well suggest – is at once exotic, at once groovy, yet all the while industriously effective in its dance-floor dogma
