Cyber Dance Records unleash their fifth record entitled Somewhere Out On The Nightside. The EP consists of four tracks introducing a new batch of artists to the Cyber Dance cartel, Brassica, Serious Lover, Bill Ambrose and Melanie Houston. Brassica is the music of Hackney bedroom producer Michael Anthony Wright. Hes had a couple of records on Dissident and has a few more lined up for some other quite well-known labels over the next year. Ballo Dei Morti was conceived one dark Christmas Day in Milan and features the chorus of Slayers Dead Skin Mask vocoded in Italian. The track has been eagerly awaited on vinyl after several months of attention through blogs such as 20 Jazz Funk Greats and Vice Magazines music blog. Serious Lover is the brain-child of London based producer Sam Ryan who fuses electro-soul influences of early Jam and Lewis production with a more modern, harder sound, employing vintage synths and archaic drum machines in the studio and electronic musicians for the full live show. Bill Ambrose has been producing music on his collection of vintage synths and drum machines for over a decade, working behind the scenes as a producer or engineer on several releases. He wrote Paranoid specifically for Cyber Dance earlier this year. Melanie Houston is a DJ, musician and producer from London with a passion for dark, emotional music and a previous history in Berlin where she DJd and contributed music for the cult techno label Tresor. With influences incorporating everything from avant-garde electronics to 80s synth pop, Melanies as renowned for her skills on the turntables in the mix as for her abilities in the studio.
