Yes, Dominik Eulberg is one of the few techno artists from Germany who composes music out of a whole range of classical elements such as melodies, analogue synth sounds and a worthy treasure of self made elements. In Dominik s world there is still place for romance and dreams opposed to the hard realism of the techno world and the music made on demand. So we were happy when we found in Rodriquez Jr a remixer who was able to connect Dominik s world with his own world, keeping the gentle touch of the original but adding a quirky and lively element to it. If there is something like a perfect remix, this might be it!
Rodriguez Jr mix ends up being a tight and super catchy groover that creates a bouncy movement on the dance floors as well as a happy smile on peoples faces. Minilogue have used snippets of the song and have created a stream of sound in their „Belledub“ mix. Their thrilling jam session character includes all the knob twisting Minilogue is so famous for when they play live. Transforming the bloomy original into a dubby style of techno that would go along neatly with the Hardwax dub outputs. Enjoy Minilogue s stream of consciousness! Raveline (DE): Sein „Daten-Ubertragungs-Kusschen“ verzauberte Ende letzten Jahres, auch das dazu gehörige Video gehört in die Kategorie „Erste Sahne“. Nun folgt die 12“ mit zwei Remixen. Den Anfang macht Rodriguez Jr. Der hier sanften Pfoten traumwandlerisch von Beat zu beat klickert und den feinen Melodiebogen perfekt adaptiert. Sehr catchy und mit Lächel-Garantie. Die B-Seite bestreitet das schwedische Duo Minilogue. Dessen fast 14-minütiger Mix, erinnert an eine Jam-Session, wo wie von selbst und ohne festen Plan einzelnen Elemente hinzukommen und die Fragmente des Originals ihre Nische finde, Dubtechno ruels. De:Bug (DE) Die Remixe mssen sich schon ganz schön ins Zeug legen, um an den Track ranzukommen und mir gefällt vor allem der Rodriguez Jr. Mix, der es ganz lässig angehen lässt und ein paar spanische Gitarrenrest mit einwirft, und die Kuschelmelodie hintrher wie eine erlösende Hitsequenz einschmeichelt, dabei aber doch auf elegante Art das Verdrehte Original bewahrt. Die gleich drei Dubs von Minilogue irken dagegen schon fast deprimierend. Der längste hat zumindest mit fast 20 Minuten gleich mehrere unerwünschte Nebenfunktionen (Bleed)
